These days’ people are becoming more and more health conscious as well conscious about their outer look. Skin care is part of healthy lifestyle. Ever wondered why skin care is so important. Skin covers outer body, hence making it most vulnerable to dust, pollution, seasonal changes, etc. Mental stress, physical stress all directly affects the skin, and the results are visible.
Taking care of skin can be done in two ways. The first way of taking care is by external methods. The second way is by consuming right type of food. Skin care by external methods depends on the skin type. There are three basic skin types oily, dry and combination.

Oily Skin

Oily skin is usually shiny in appearance due to oil present in skin layer. Therefore it attracts more dust, which tends to stick to the skin. Settling of dust on the skin can result to clogging of pores, acne and other skin related problems. As skin is highly susceptible to outside dirt, appropriate care needs to be taken in order to maintain a healthy skin. Oily skin does not require moisturizing as it contains oil.

Combination Skin

It is a mixture of oily skin and dry skin. People with combination skin have oily skin on nose, chin and forehead. This area is termed as T-Zone area. But remaining part of their face is dry. For such people the skin care will have to be a balance between the dry skin and the oily skin Normal skin type is considered to be the best among all other skin types. The care for normal skin is easy, as you just have to keep the skin clean using mild soap. But for people with sensitive skin, the choice of creams and products becomes very difficult due to their sensitive skin.

Different types of skin treatments are available as per the skin type. Daily skin care routine like simple cleansing toning and moisturizing can result to a healthy looking skin. People often need to identify their skin type first and then accordingly use products on their skin.

Dry Skin

Dry skin appears dry and sometimes tends to flake; it often feels tight after washing. This happens due to lack of oil in the skin layer. This is the key reason why it tightens up as the skin tends to react to weather changes. Dust does not tend to settle on dry skin as it is not oily. So people with dry skin are not prone to problems like clogging of pores and acne. As the oil contain in the skin layer is less, moisturizing is required
